It seems that things are settling down for Christoph. His mom is again with him. Her son is at the end more important than Mr. Shears. His father tries very hard to earn back his trust. He buys him a puppy, and Christopher begins spending some time at his house again. Through his parents are not together, they are around him. This is probably the best outcome for now.

Journal entry six
After the hours of fighting with his fears, he arrives at his mother's apartment in London. She's living with no other than Mr. Shears! Mother is horrified learning that Christopher was thinking her to be dead all this time. Still pops up a same question, why she didn’t visit him?
Family is together again in mother’s apartment, but just for a short time. In the unhealthy family situation, Christopher is a victim of parent’s arrogance. Mother left with other man, and father caught in his own web of lays.
It seam unclear what Christopher wants. He found his mother but doesn't want to be with here because he is afraid of Mr. Shears. On the other hand he left his father because he looks at him as a dangerous dog murderer.
The only logical exit from the situation for Christopher is to go forward, to make an exam and follow the academic path.

As already thought there are more stories in this book. Here the story of the crime part, ends here. When Christopher confronted his father with the letters from his mother, his father confesses his guilt.
The fact that Christopher's father was the dog murderer wasn't to shocking for me. I had a kind of suspicion form the start, since I found out about the relationship between Mrs. Shears and Christopher's father. The interesting part is the Christopher’s conclusion. He changed his picture of his father. His father is a dog murderer and Christoph begin to fear for his own safety. This part has a core problem with Christopher's mental disease. Is he right thinking that his father could hurt him?
He decides to leave his father and go search for his mother. For that he must overcome his greatest fear, being in the crowd of people. I wonder how he will manage his fear all on his own.

Journal entry four
Christopher's father has found the detective book Christopher has been writing, where he's recorded everything that has happened so far and his thinking. He's really mad about it, and takes the book away.
I always wondered why Christopher's father is so determent to stop Christopher from finding out the truth.
A few days later, when Christopher searched the house for the book and found it hidden in his father's bedroom, it all made a sense. But here's the kicker, he also finds a big stack of letters addressed to him, from his mother. He reads a few of them, and discovers that – wait for it – she's actually alive! His father had been lying to him this whole time.
I'm wondering why Christopher's father has been lying to him and what else has been hiding from Christopher to this time. On the other side, why his mother, being alive, never come to visit him?

Journal entry three
The relations between Christopher's parents was unclear. Reading
the book, I am wondering if his mother is really dead, or just gone? Also, the
relations between his father and Mrs Shears is a mistery. It seem that his
father has a lot to explain.
Let see where a killing a dog will lead, and what will
reveal.
Christopher's approach into investigation is so logic and
direct, that he reminds me to Vulcan Spoc from Start Treck serie. A reader can
fill a pation in his actions. Through he is not laying, it's very interesting
how he manages to continue his investigation and "not breaking" a promise
given to his father to give it up.
Sometimes I have a feeling to read the two or more different
books mearged together. On one side is the crime story, then it gives autistic
person profile, and at the end contains quite amount of the science literature.

Journal entry two
Is
a being different a crime? Should anyone different be expelled from society?
Why the 15 years old boy had to be treated as a criminal? Does anyone in police
knows anything except to follow the rules without thinking?
It’s
kind of annoying that a boy with obvious autism and pretty much predictable
behaviour gets police record just because what he is.
The
thinking and reasoning about different topics like universe, prime numbers,
death is so deep, that the majority of population would not even go there in a whole
life. His logical reasoning goes into the perfection. His definition of being
clever and just noticing the things can’t be more true. I wonder what such mind
is capable of if directed right way.
Having
a human being not able to tell a lay? Sounds unbelievable.
Now,
starting the crime investigation he makes, I am looking forward where the
logical reasoning can lead him to.

Journal entry one
Christopher is not an ordinary boy. In my opinion he has autism. People
with autism experience world with different feelings, thinking and understandings.
His world is governed with strict deterministic rules. He enjoys
mathematics, might be a brilliant too, notices small things nobody would pay
attention on, changes focus very fast. He is not able to understand people
reaction around him. His feeling exchange with other is limited to basic
feelings only, happy and sad.
Faced with an unordinary situation, the reactions of Christopher are simple,
I like dogs – I hug them, I am scared – I scream, on direct question he gives
simple answer. There is no deep thinking of cause and consequences.
His world is so much detached from the world of the ordinary people. People
around him can’t understand him and his reactions. They don’t understand that
he is not able to hear anyone. For them he is a freak.
